Switzerland welcomes you to the Joint International Meeting for Neurogastroenterology & Motility from 6-9 November 2008. The European Society for Neurogastroenterology and Motility (ESNM), International Neurogastroenterology and Motility Group (INMG), Functional Brain-Gut Research Group (FBG) and American Neurogastroenterology and Motility Society (ANMS) are coming together, to provide a forum for scientists and clinicians to review the tremendous progress being made in our understanding of neurogastroenterology, motility and functional gastrointestinal disease.

The scientific committee has produced an exciting and comprehensive program, highlighting the exchange of ideas ‘from bench to bedside and back again’. Young investigators with new research and invited speakers from related fields of enquiry will bring fresh insight into the causes of GI dysfunction and their treatment. The meeting will also provide workshops, in which topics can be considered in detail and discussed with the experts.

The meeting will take place at the lakeside conference centre in Lucerne, a beautiful city in the centre of Switzerland less than one hour from the international hub of Zürich Airport and the Alps. The conference is within walking distance of the hotels and the heart of the medieval city, so that conversations begun at the meeting can continue into the evening.
