Poster viewing will be on Friday 7 November and Saturday 8 November 2008 at lunch time between 12.30 to 15.00. Poster sessions will be located in the Foyer outside of the Auditorium on the first floor of the Wing A.

 

The Scientific Programme Committee invites abstracts of original contributions for oral and poster presentation as of 15th February.

Submission of abstracts must be done via the online system. The deadline for submitting abstracts is 20 June 2008. Authors will be notified by 26 July 2008. Further instructions for the submission of abstracts are on page 7 of this document.

NGM 2008 is accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) to provide the CME activity for medical specialists. The EACCME is an institution of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS), http://www.uems.net/.

Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spends in the educational activity. EACCME credits are recognised by the American Medical Association towards the Physician’s Recognition Award (PRA). To convert EACCME credit to AMA PRA category 1 credit, contact AMA.

Abstracts will be published on CD-Rom and will be distributed at the Congress.

 

NGM 2008 will bring together young basic and clinical scientists with an interest in Neurogastroenterology and Motility. This meeting will promote personal and professional contact with established experts, peers, and potential collaborators through the social program, focused discussions, ‘how to sessions’ and personal career advice (detailed program on website). Young investigators, under 36 years of age, that submits an abstract as first or presenting author to NGM 2008 have the option to apply. In addition senior authors can nominate promising candidates. Several travel grants are on offer to support attendance at this meeting, which begins with a party on the evening of 5th November. Please tick the relevant box on the abstract submission form (online via the website) to indicate you will be applying for this award. The recipients will be presented with their awards at the Congress.

NGM 2008 will award travel grants to scientists from developing countries, which will help to subsidise travel to the Congress (a copy of current passport showing country of residence will be required). In order to be considered for a grant, the scientist must be the presenter and first author of an abstract submitted to the Congress.
