Lucerne walking tour:
12:30 – 17:30 (departs from the Congress Centre)
Meet at the registration desk at 12:15
A lunch packet will be provided to give you the energy to explore Lucerne.
Dr. Ueli Habegger, Chief of the city department responsible for the “preservation of monuments and historic buildings” and a well known expert, will be our guide. Together we shall explore this magnificent medieval city, including the town hall, and the world famous chapel bridge with its water tower. In the Jesuit Church, at the conclusion of the tour, we will enjoy a private concert including pieces by Bach and Haydn.
Now it is time to visit the “Fondation Rosengart”, the largest and most interesting private Picasso collection in existence. A personal museum guide will show us all the world famous paintings and lead us through the museum.
In conclusion, it may be possible to enjoy coffee and cake at a typical Lucerne café with Mrs. Angela Rosengart, founder of the museum. She met Pablo Picasso personally on many occasions and he was not the only one to be impressed by her verve and personality!
